My name is Paul Tagell (@tagell)
I created this site for my wife and I in order to make it easier for people to find out if our baby had been born yet.
From what I've heard, leading up to a birth, there are many people who really just want to know if the baby has arrived yet. There are also many people to tell all over the world once the baby has arrived.
Rather than just solving this problem for ourselves, I decided to make the process a little bit easier for everyone by turning it into a website you can use. Please keep in mind that this site is an experiment, and although we take all care, we also take no responsibility for it working perfectly all the time - always have a backup plan.
The other reason I built this site was to teach myself how to program using Ruby On Rails, SCSS and some other cool web technologies that I've been wanting to experiment with for a while.
It is only through the kind help and support of many people in the Rails community that I've been able to cobble together my little application, so, thank you very much to everyone who helped me.
