A side-effect of having a baby is that sooner or later everyone is going to start asking you when the baby is due. As you get closer to the big day, people will ask continuously if it's been born yet. This can get a little repetitive.
As well as this, you'll also have lots of people who you'd love to know when your baby has been born. Friends, co-workers, distant relatives you've never met, people your mum and dad want to show off your new baby to. This can get annoying.
We made Been Born Yet to help with these two things.
Create an account with your email address & password.
Make a baby. At this stage all we need to know is your name for Cletus the Fetus and a due date.
Creating a baby will give you your very own unique URL in the form of: http://has[yourbabyname].beenbornyet.com This address is relatively private at the moment as nobody knows this URL until you share it.
Share this customised URL with your friends and family however you find easiest. People who are likely to want to know when your baby is born include work colleagues, family friends (excited grandparents might get a kick out of being able send this round - ours did) and extended family. We'll send you an email each time a waiter has been added.
Once your baby is born and you've decided to tell everyone, return to your babies page and login using your username and password.
We make it really easy for you to tell people the vital statistics including height, weight, name and gender. You can also upload a photo (from a computer, unfortunately not from an iOS device yet) and include a message for your waiters.
If you have any suggestions for ways we might be able to make this site better, please email info@beenbornyet.com
